We do this by designing every client with their very own exercise program and nutrition plan tailored to fit their health goals. . About Me

Before becoming a fitness instructor, I spent 23 years in the Navy where I took on several challenging managerial and leadership positions while serving as a naval officer. I became interested in fitness about 10 years into her military career after I applied for an officer position which included completing a rigorous physical examination and training. It was during that time I was diagnosed with hyperlipidemia commonly known as high cholesterol. That was my calling to "Wake Up & Get Active"! With proper nutrition and fitness, I was able to lower my cholesterol and prove that those results would not hinder my ability to perform my duties. As a result, I used my medical diagnosis to fuel my passion to become a personal trainer and founder of LYLA Fitness & Healthy Living! 

As a Personal Trainer and Health Coach, helping people meet their fitness and nutrition goals is Alicia's passion. A retired military officer of 23 years, her overall military experience taught her how to become a leader, manager, educator, and innovator. Alicia wanted to encourage people who could not encourage themselves to stay fit and strong. "I believe being active and eating healthy produces a longer life span. It also reduces cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and hypertension." 

If you are looking to hang out with me, you can catch me around San Diego, CA teaching fitness classes as well as personal training.
